It was my husband's birthday and he was craving duck. Thanks to some wonderfully genuine IGers, we discovered this place. They had an authentic experience and satisfied my hubby's craving. As a vegetarian, I had limited options, but I got the mixed vegetables and could provide proper dining company. The place is casual, like a cafe, and some of the servers don't speak any English either. In my opinion, that adds to the experience because you feel like you're receiving the real thing. They do run out of duck - no joke - so go at opening hour. We heard tables ordering around us being told they were all out for the day.

Came with 5 others for lunch, and were able to get sat quickly. Our server brought waters for the table and gave us time to look over the menu. Food was ready quickly and portions even for lunch were large! Family style dining a great way to utilize their larger dinner portions. I ordered the Mongolian beef, it was well seasoned and had a good mix of meat and veggies (forgot to take a photo of it first so... excuse me for digging in ) and was well priced for a lunch portion.

Great authentic Chinese but I am leaning towards more taiwanese type of food. Great dining room, plenty of cold ac, and awesome server service. Big menu to choose from, Szechuan peppery spicy foods. Opted for the cold chicken dish. Nice flavor, great fresh chicken, and tender meat. The skin was had a gelatin like texture so it's a nice change of chicken. Hands down, top top walnuts shrimp, the best walnut shrimp I've had in Austin. Hoho, DinHo, 1st Chinese BBQ, none of those restaurants walnut shrimp is as good as this restaurant. Crispy, light, fluffy batter, low oil taste, firm and plum shrimp with a nice balance of sweet and moist sauce. Fresh vegetable dish, love how the broccoli and other vegetables were blanched in hot water and still kept its crispy firmness, nice balance between cooked vs raw. The orange chicken was ok, I was thrown off how it's done, it's thin, super thin chicken meat and then it's battered and fried. The orange flavor is amazing, very citrusy but I will mention I couldn't taste the meat, just the batter. Not a fan of it, I won't order it again. The fish fillets are a great dish, flash fried with a thin and light crispy batter with tender white fish meat on the inside. It tasted more salt and pepper like. Awesome dish. The star of the show is the crispy spicy chicken. Awesome tender meat, coated in light batter. Then it had a nice spicy aroma with the peppercorns. Once you bite into it, flavorful bite of Asian flavors with low oil taste. Overall I wasn't expecting to have soo much fried food. I made that mistake so next time I won't have soo much fried food but the vegetables helped cut through all the fried flavors. The restaurant comes off as a family oriented place, but if you go with your buddies and grab a couple beers, this type of food is good to drink with
